Michael Burkin, Principal
Michael Burkin is a real estate professional and active real estate attorney with twenty five years of experience with commercial conveyancing, syndications, workouts and liquidations. Michael has a BA in history from Trinity College, and a law degree from Suffolk University. Michael has been both a real estate developer, and asset manager for commercial real estate projects. For the last tens years he has acted as in –house counsel to real estate management/syndication company. In 1990 Michael was an early hire for the FDIC’s northeast office where he handled the liquidation of a $100MM portfolio of non-performing commercial loans and owned real estate. After the FDIC, Michael worked in the private sector for a bankruptcy trustee liquidating non-performing loans and distressed real estate from some of the largest New England bankruptcy estates of that era. In 1995 National Asset Resolution was formed to provide consulting services to both institutional lenders and borrowers who remained ensnarled in the banking crisis of the early 1990’s. As the economy in New England improved NAR morphed into a market driven consultancy providing developers and tenants with brokerage and real estate counseling assistance. Mr. Burkin is a fully licensed attorney in Massachusetts as well as a registered real estate broker. NAR is a fully approved contractor for the FDIC.
